Fluridil®

Discovered by a California research laboratory (www.biophysica.net), this compound affects weakened scalp hair follicles and thus addresses the root of the most prevalent type of hair loss, androgenetic alopecia. Fluridil is non-toxic, biodegradable in an aqueous milieu and, most importantly, while topically active on the human scalp, it is NOT resorbed into the body. Fluridil was assigned an International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient (INCI) name by the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CTFA) and was listed in the International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary and Handbook. Fluridil was registered as a substance by the French National Institute of Research and Safety, and the French and Czech Ministries of Ecology and Sustainable Development (File VII-B no. 02-01-0743-00) as admissible under the terms of the regulatory rules. Fluridil obtained marketing approval as Eucapil® (www.eucapil.com), a 2% alcohol solution, in the Czech Republic and can thus be made available as a cosmetic product in the EU and/or as a bulk substance worldwide.
